Metal Straw's body is about twice as tall as Timey's case (limbs not included) MS’s body’s width is about 1/3-1/2 of Timey’s case width (not strict on that.)
In extremely cold temperatures, Metal Straw may appear whiter than usual, due to frost forming on their body. Alternatively, extreme heat could make him glow slightly orange.
Metal Straw is also shiny and reflective, and can be drawn reflecting the colors and light around it, if desired, but for simplicity, gray is fine.
Due to being hollow, Metal Straw is a lot lighter than Timey.
When Metal Straw gets fevers, they end up getting much more hot than the typical object due to being made of metal.
He also tends to get very cold in the winter. Timey has gotten stuck to them.
Metal Straw tends to keep to herself, valuing her privacy. She is a bit stoic. When they become closer to people, they tend to open up more. As time goes on, some of Timey's whimsicality seems to rub off on it.
Due to messing around with hot and cold things, Metal Straw sometimes will become a bit warped. This is partially an excuse to not use the line tool, however, sometimes I do use the line tool, so whether other people use the line tool while drawing them or not, is fine.
Metal Straw's mother died during the process of their creation, and their dad did not want to take care of them, so Metal Straw spent most of their childhood in an orphanage. As a kid, Metal Straw would write about most of her grievances in a diary. Sometimes it would play tennis, and when it was too hot or cold outside, sometimes they would fold origami. Sometimes, if it was especially cold, she would catch pieces of paper on fire.
He was quite close to some of the other orphans, especially Brick and Pine, though they were not without their flaws, which Metal Straw would complain about within her diary.
At ~12 years old, Metal Straw is temporarily taken care of by a family of paper straws, but this does not end well once they learn about their passion of catching things on fire, them returning MS to the orphanage.
At some point Metal Straw began to explore the possibility of being queer, likely writing about this in his diary as well.
One day, when Metal Straw is around 14, Brick finds her diary, and after getting upset at what was written about him, proceeds to share it with others in the orphanage. Metal Straw is mortified, and ends up feeling incredibly distraught, isolating himself, and becoming even more closed-off. After some time in misery, it attempts to melt herself to death, catching her bedroom on fire using gasoline and a pack of matches. After spending a few minutes sitting between flames, they decide they don't actually want to die, and run away instead.
While homeless, Metal Straw felt as if everybody was out to get her. He would continue to catch trash on fire for warmth, and would find whatever she could to eat. At some point she meets a short marshmallow bunny named "Bunnie Marshie." Bunnie was desperate to hire somebody to help at the restaurant she worked at, and happened to find Metal Straw in the alleyway next to it.
Metal Straw accepted the job, and worked really hard. Marshie was impressed by their hard work, and Metal Straw felt the restaurant was a good escape from the rest of her life, though not enough to solve all of her issues. Metal Straw still often had to search for food, which lead to her mistakenly eating a sea turtle egg, under the assumption that it was a bird egg.
Eventually, Metal Straw met Timey while walking around, finding beeps lemonade stand, and getting scammed. While initially Metal Straw thought it was just another reason not to trust anyone, they found a slight interest in the clock, and the clock seemed to find an interest in them as well. The two gradually grew closer, Metal Straw realizing they felt safe and accepted around Timey, and much less bored when around the spontaneous and energetic clock.
Unfortunately, some of Metal Straw's actions caught up to it, and it had a huge bail cost for eating the egg of an endangered species and arson. Not having the phone numbers of many others, Metal Straw calls Timey, promising to make them an origami if beep helps. This somehow works, but it backfires when Timey is kicked out of beeps dad's house. Metal Straw ends up feeling incredibly guilty about this, especially seeing how devastated Timey seems to be about it. On the bright side, the two can now live together, in a cabin Timey was sent to live in. Metal Straw promises to help with finances.
While Metal Straw goes to work to help pay taxes, she is a bit put off by the fact Timey doesn't get a job of their own to help the two, and more irritated that Timey spends time on hosting an object camp while they're tight on money, which causes tension between them. Timey's spontaneity is less fun now, moreso seeming like a problem to MS. Eventually, after the cabin burns down, and Timey assumes Metal Straw must've done it out of spite. Metal Straw assumes the candle they'd been messing with the night before probably should've been blown out, feeling guilty, especially upon seeing how upset Timey is. Despite her efforts to make it up to beep, Timey ends up throwing MS into a frozen lake out of bitterness and for a challenge. Metal Straw is terrified, convinced they might die down there.
Once saved, MS plans to set things straight with Timey, only for the clock to be missing. After some time, MS grows concerned, and starts searching for the clock. MS starts living with Timey's friend, Gear, during this time, the two growing closer as they search for their lost friend.
After ~5 months, Timey shows up, and MS is ecstatic to see beep again, though a bit wary to reconnect with them after what'd happened before. After some time, MS could tell Timey is genuinely sorry about what they'd done, and decides she wouldn't mind dating them again.
At some point, after confiding with Timey, Metal Straw forms a queer-platonic relationship with Gear.
When the three (Metal Straw, Timey, and Gear) are older, they start a family. They have a son, Weighty. Everything on is a WIP.
